DETAILS: Kendall Regional Medical Center wants to help the community live longer and healthier lives by providing free health screenings and discussions on important health topics. To honor Mother’s Day, this health fair will have a particular focus on women and children’s health. There will be a range of activities for families including free healthy food, prizes, raffles, balloons, health screenings for all ages and great activities for the kids including a doll clinic, face painting and aerobic dance. Popular health topics for families such as reading food labels and summer water safety tips will also be discussed.
Throughout the morning, free tests will be given for osteoporosis (first 30 people only), breast, cardiac risk assessment, cholesterol, blood sugar, pulmonary function screenings (first 30 people only) and EKG (first 30 people only).
Appointments are not necessary for any screening. To participate in the cholesterol and blood sugar tests, four hours of fasting is required prior to the tests. To RSVP or for more information please call 305.222.2200.
