Seeks Volunteer Coordinator
Full-time position. Responsible for managing all aspects of museum’s volunteer program including developing and implementing strategies for recruiting and retaining volunteers.
The volunteer coordinator recruits, interviews, provides orientation, assists in training, and coordinates volunteers for various Museum projects, programs, special events and visitor needs. The volunteers recruited by the volunteer coordinator should reflect a balance of high school students, college students, professionals and retired Baby Boomers, local community service organizations, active and retired scientists and engineers, and others who can participate in a range of volunteer capacities. Function as Museum’s public service liaison with community organizations.
