Enroll in one of South Florida Workforce (SFW) training programs that will lead to placement into a high-demand occupation
South Florida Workforce Investment Board (SFWIB) encourages the development of training modules that facilitate career development in high demand occupational areas through the Educational Scholarships or Retention Individual Training Account referral vouchers. The Educational Scholarships and Retention Incentive Training Accounts (RITAs) can only be used at SFW approved institutions which may be public educational institutions, i.e. Miami-Dade County Public Schools or private vocational schools and colleges. Further, all training must be in occupations that are on the State and Regional Targeted Occupations List.
The SFWIB has a quarterly review policy that allows educational institutions that are not on the SFW approved list to be added, if they meet the Board's programmatic and fiscal requirements. In addition, this policy allows approved institutions to add additional training areas as long as these areas are also included on the Stateand Regional Targeted Occupations List.
All SFW approved institutions and the training programs they offer are reflected on this page. This information can be accessed either by the name of the educational institution, or by selecting an occupational area. Additionally, information is available on the cost of each training program, locations, contact information, and length of each program offered.
